I've stayed at Maverick by kasa in Pittsburgh twice and it may not work for some, but I'm a huge fan. If you're hopeless with technology or really enjoy a fully interactive customer experience, you may not enjoy your stay but you will still spend $50-75 less than anything in the area. It's a great location, lot's of food options within walking distance and convenient for visiting all the universities and hospitals. I like the parking arrangement. It was $5.00 to park overnight in the lot nextdoor! Again, if you're not comfortable with downloading a parking app you may be frustrated but you'll use the same app to park anywhere else in Pittsburgh. Personally, I like the zero contact check-in and check-out, it wasn't complicated and I loved not having a physical key to keep track of. If you're comfortable with Airbnb, you'll like it here.
