Rija Old Town Hotel

Det var veldig skuffende hotell rommene var knøttsmå bare noen kjøkkenstoler å sitte på.På bildene så det ut som det var en koselig plass utenfor,dette var nå en byggeplass.Frokosten var elendig vi måtte stå i kø for å riste brø og vente på kaffe.Vi ba også om å bli vekket om morningen for telefonen min var det noe galt med,dette ble ikke gjort før jeg hadde klaget 2 dager.Det var en fantastisk by,men aldring mer dette hotellet.

The room was just fine, the only problem was it was too hot and the noise from right behind the room was unbearable around the clock from a highway there, so keeping a window open was out of the question. Front desk helpful and friendly and breakfast fantastic. Great location.

Reception staff unprofessional and lacking basic friendliness.

We tried 3 different rooms all of which were tiny.Hotel doesn't justify its (claimed) 3* status.Hotel was on the edge of the Old Town. Restaurant was closed during our stay.

Booked Economy double room, previously advised hotel of late check in. On arrival, after midnight room allocated was a twin room with 2 beds and virtually nothing else or any other space in the room. The reception had no other room available so we suffered the first night. Next morning we again requested a change of room and we were offered a larger room with a supplement of 10 euros per night extra. We accepted the change because it was totally impossible to continue in the original room (Room 105). The other negative feedback relates to the total inflexibility of the staff in the breakfast room and their dreadful attitude. The Reception staff were fine and helpful so clearly the problem with this hotel is lack and invisibility of management. Overall, very poor value and we won’t be staying here again.
