utside the fortress walls of the Cité. The reception is not open during lunch hours, so we had to wait outside on the street until it opened at 3PM. Check in went ok, no problem with our hotels.com-booking. The hotel looks pretty modern, but even so the building on the inside looks like it could use some serious refurbishing work. Lots of moisture stains in the ceilings, on the walls and floors. Our room - or apartment - was quite spacious, livingroom with kitchenette and fridge, separate bathroom and toilet, and a master bedroom. The equipment in our room, like some of the blinds for the windows were useless. One of them needed to be "repaired" by us before we could use it, and another one we couldn't even fix so it stayed half way down. The lightbulb in one of the bedside lamps wasn't working. The shower curtain was dirty - wouldn't be too hard for the hotel to wash it in the machine once in a while, would it? The double bed was the hardest bed I've ever slept in. (the convertible sofa-bed was a bit softer) The breakfast: There wasn't much food left on the buffet when we came in, the staff was working on filling up the ham, the cheese, the bread etc, but too slow. (we were standing around with our trays almost empty for several minutes while waiting) Then we couldn't find a table, because the breakfast room - and even the little sitting group in the reception - was full. When a table was liberated we had to clean it ourselves to get a place to sit. The price for this breakfast experience was 9€, something I find very expensive for what it is. All in all, we'll probably find a better hotel next time we're in the area.
