Can’t complain tbh
I paid for an “upgraded” room with a view and was very disappointed. Pro’s: - The view from my room looked like it would have been nice if I stayed long enough to see the sunrise. Cons: - Room was VERY humid (like mold level humid) - I could feel the cold from outside rush in from a small hole in the wall under the A/C unit - There was insulation that was blown out from the air ducts all over my toilet & sink - The shower didn’t function and barely had water pressure because most of the water was still being forced out the tub faucet - The tub quickly filled up with water and didn’t drain properly leaving me to stand ankle high in water - Im 90% sure there was bed bugs cause I didn’t stop itching till I got home and washed all my clothes and took a real shower. I booked a 2 night stay and left after the first night, I was so uncomfortable and worried I was about to bring bed bugs home.

Great room
I stopped here on part of a larger road trip. The room was an excellent size for our family of five. The hotel employees in the evening were excellent the ones in the morning not so much. The breakfast was canceled because of some reason that they didn't care to share with us. There was no apology for the inconvenience.

Clean, cozy and roomy
The room was nice and clean and the perfect layout for our family of 4. We had 3 beds with the sofa bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early before going to the Georgia Tennessee game in Athens.

THE WORST
Bathroom was filthy, hair all over the place. Brown moldy looking stuff in the toilet and on shower floor. Sink had water all around it like someone had taken a hobo bath in the sink right before we checked in. Floor was sticky, lord only knows what that was from, we used sandals in the shower and while using the restroom, I had to hover over the toilet like I was in a porter pot at a concert for fear of contracting a disease. Bed was absolutely disgusting, brown, black, and what looked like body fluid stains on sheets and blanket, hair all over the bed like Chewbacca from Star Wars slept there the night before. We slept on towels. There was a skid stained pair of dirty underwear next to the "desk" area, I can only assume from a previous guest. Smelled like a New York City subway. We will never stay here again, id rather sleep in a cardboard box under an overpass.

Hotel is very dated. Needs to be renovated. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Bed was cozy but overall vibe was very tired and well-used space awaiting a fresh rehab.

Basic place to stay
Showing its age. A number of areas not cleaned, showing cleaning staff not as vigilant as they should/could be. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Didn't take advantage of the free hot breakfast.

2/10 Poor

I booked this property hoping for AC and a hot shower after Hurricane Helene destroyed our small town. Upon arrival to our room, the toilet was still dirty, hair in the shower, and what appeared to be drops of blood on the floors. I went to the front desk and requested a refund. Someone went to clean the room while I was speaking with the front desk. However, when I got back to the room to pack our belongings, it appeared that she had only flushed the toilet and mopped the floor. There was still hair all over the shower. Very disappointed.

6/10 Good

The location is the only good thing about this place, the lake is beautiful the inside needs work. First I recommend putting candles in the lobby it smells like something died and putting plug in fresheners in the hallways. 2nd it wasnt very clean, there was no bed bugs but the sheets in our room were dirty with obvious stains we brought extra blankets so we used those. 3rd the staff was a bit rude the friendliest was the black man who worked overnight, he was really nice, but the older manager and blonde woman werent very friendly. 4th the breakfast needs work the eggs and bacon tasted off the rest was good, plenty of choices. Also be prepared theres not much in this town its a desert. I opted to not extend my stay and instead went to another hotel.

This was a disgusting hotel. The entirety of the room was dirty. The bed had horrible stains. Smelled bad. The bathroom was dirty. Trash on the floor. There was hair on the bathroom floor from previous stays. The toilet was dirty, hadn’t been cleaned recently. It was incredibly disappointing and we had to go to another hotel because it was so gross.

We came for a wedding in the area, The Lodge was close to the venue and made it an easy drive. If you’re coming from Atlanta on a late flight make sure to call or book through them instead! The day rolled over by the time we drove through the storm and the GM was able to get it resolved for us. It was an eventful weekend but the staff was great & beyond helpful! Very pretty setting & great breakfast options. Would recommend :)

My family stayed here during hurricane helene. The staff was genuinely friendly (even the cleaning ladies!) and the lodge was clean, variety of vending, and there was a lake behind the lodge that was relaxing.
