Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Ave - Chelsea

Veldig bra området. Gikk både opp til times square og central park, og ned til soho og havneområdet. Frokoststeder i nærheten. Fint utsikt fra hotellet. Nærme Empire sate building og strykejernsbygget. Eneste minuset var at heisene tok lang tid!!

Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating, our room had a damp carpet and staff were quick to move us to another room. Cleaners in making beds, leaving fresh towels and cleaning room daily. Would stay here again. There is scaffolding outside main entrance so this does reduce visibility of hotel sign and main entrance.

The hotel does not have one sight parking, the do have an agreement with a parking lot down the block that charges $35 a night to park after you validate at the hotel. Our first room had a leaky heater that soaked the carpet nearest the window and caused items that we placed on the floor (because the room was so tiny there was no other place to put them) to be soaked as well. They front desk moved us to another room, just as tiny. A family of four with two teenagers we all had a hard time just moving around the room. Only one person could be up and moving around at a time. Never ate at the hotel so we cannot comment on the restaurant. Fitness center is 1 treadmill, 1eliptical, 1 recumbent bike and a rack of weights and 1 bench again crammed into a very small area. Overall I would stay again because it was cost effective for our family and we were there just to sleep so it worked for our trip.

Had a late flight in which it also got delayed so didn’t get to the hotel until after 1. We were then rudely awoken to the very loud construction work outside our window just before 9. We were only staying 1 night thankfully so for that the hotel wasn’t too bad but I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer with the extreme noise of the construction.

For the most part it was great, the shuttle service was misrepresented to me and cost me twice the money and time!! The front desk sold me on it and I'm extremely upset about it! The stay in the rooms were fine but the TV did not work and it took a lot of complaining to get it fixed!
