Ideally situated close to a beach and with a free shuttle to another beach this hotel provides close access to Manuel Antonio National park also. The property itself has a large family swimming pool and two adult only pools. A well equipped gym is also available- with Covid restrictions on attendance The highlight of the hotel is the impeccable service provided throughout. Costa Rica is known for good service but this establishment excels. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel
The property want to be classy-elegant but gets tacky at times (officially a colonial style, in reality you get an ancient Greek-style fountain combined with a display of medieval soldiers' armour, etc.). But those are just minor things, other areas of the property were really nice. Overall, our stay was pleasant, staff was nice, food was good.
Check in was quick and easy. Everyone was friendly, but the bellman could have used help. We carried our luggage up 3 flights of bloody stairs-ridiculous! The room was nice, the welcome drink refreshing, facilities very nice. The hotel seemed quite desolate, yet they seemed to crunch all guests together, where they could have and should have spaced us apart. We had neighbors on either side of us and they were both loud, inconsiderate and rude. They screamed, yelled, scraped furniture across the floor, slammed doors, and this went on as late as 12:45 am and then began again around 5 am the next morning. The buffet was an a la carte breakfast, so instead of eating to fill -buffet style- it was choose from small dishes and get out. Coffee refills never came and attentive servers non-existent. Overpriced small meals, however the servicer one night was really good. Location was great, views amazing! Shuttle driver was very nice and offered dining suggestions off property when we inquired, and gave reviews on said places as well. We did get to see lots of monkeys and a couple sloths on site!
Manuel Antonio was our final destination for our honeymoon. After a long, difficult day of travel and issues with a different hotel, we decided to book at the Parador Resort. We were greeted with warmth by the staff (noticeable despite the masks) as well as fresh juice and warm, scented wash clothes. Michael, the receptionist, graciously upgraded us to a beautiful suite with the only request being that we enjoy the remainder of our trip. We did. The room was clean and updated. The jacuzzi tub on the balcony was perfect for rainy days with beautiful views. We could see the ocean from the comfortable king size bed. Even the complementary soaps were above our expectations. From the second floor pool, we were able to see a sloth eat in a nearby tree and watch howler monkeys with the ocean in the background. We also met an adorable raccoon, hummingbirds, agutis, geckos, birds, and Pedro, the local Iguana. We were walking distance to beach access and a bus or taxi ride to downtown for shopping for souvenirs. Did I mention the food yet? My husband and I agree that dinner at the Parador was the best dinner we had eaten during our trip. Lastly, our travel advisor told us that the people of Costa Rica are it's best asset. I cannot express enough, the warmth and kindness of each and every staff member we encountered. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, from extra chocolates with turndown service, to helping us mail a key back to our previous hotel.
The view from the room was splendid! The Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely stay again in this hotel.
Unique park that has sloths, Capuchin monkeys, Howler monkeys, Ara parrots, hawks, iguanas and more. Compared to the Manuel Antonio park, you can see more animals at a closer distance in shorter amount of time. View from the infinity pool is one that you mostly see in magazines. Restaurant has my recommendations for the high quality of the food and preparation. Recommend morning pastry - banana bread, evening local steak.
excellent breakfast. very friendly helpful staff. awesome views from the hotel. highly recommend to families. will definitely stay here again.
My daughter ordered a stuffed chicken plate for dinner it wasn’t too good for its price .
This was our second visit to the hotel & it as expected was great. It is close to Manuel Antonio National Park. We saw a sloth, monkeys, and eagles right on the hotel property.
The resort was amazing and the staff were so helpful. We loved the pools and the breakfast, and everything about the resort. There was a beautiful beach nearby and easy access to Manuel Antonio beach. The staff really went out of their way to help us. Highly recommend Hotel Parador
