Novotel London Paddington

We had huge expectations for this hotel. Pretty new, swimming pool, centrally located and a fresh look. And most of the things were very good, but not everything met our expectations. The hotel is fresh, it looks good, it is clean and the location is perfect for a London stay. Just a couple of minutes walk from Paddington station. The rooms are not very big. The sofa bed were made into two single beds - good! The main double bed was way too hard. We tried three hotels in the UK during our stay, and this bed was the worst. Worse than the 2-star hotel bed. Not to mention the pillows.... Bathroom with both a tub and shower, but the toilet seperate from the bathroom. Felt a bit strange not being able to wash your hands after visiting the toilet, and you had to touch doors etc. The room also had air condition. Not working very well. Never got cold/chilly, so in the eveing, just after sunset, the room was too hot. The minibar refrigerator did not work. It was warm inside, so the water inside was not chilled or cold. This refrigerator was acting like a disco light as well, and they could not fix it in another way than turn it off. We needed a cold storage at the room due to medicines and the hot weather outside. Also have to mention - 3-4 of the drinking glasses were dirty. Very good breakfast! Good selection of food and drinks. Some of the staff were very friendly, other were actually a bit rude. Fast wifi (free) a plus. Very nice swimmingpool also a big plus.

Hotellet er svært sentralt og lett å komme til fra Stansted. Det har gode rom som er rene og pene. Vi, fem damer på langhelg-tur, er svært fornøyde med oppholdet. Kan absolutt anbefale å spandere på seg frokost her. Innholdsrik og god!

Fint Hotell med god frokost. Kunne ønske at det ikke var teppe på gulvene. Hyggelig betjening

Very nice hotel, and the pool was very popular for our 7 year old! Easy walking distance from Paddington st, with direct express train to Heathrow.
