Hôtel Elixir

The room and hotel was comfortable. The location is it’s strong point. The issue we had was that there is only one person on duty during the day and evening. We returned to the hotel one evening at 10:30 pm, to be joined by other guests, and we were unable to get into the hotel. The front door was locked. The attendant was no where to be found. There was a button to push on the outside but it did nothing. A guest of the hotel that appeared in the lobby found a way to open the door. The following morning we brought this to the attention of the day attendant. She became indignant saying she had told us when we checked in that there was only one evening attendant and if he was called away from the front desk that we would have to be patient until he returned. She never did mention this. Let it be said that we and the other guests were waiting twenty minutes before we were able to gain entry. This also seemed to be a situation if there was an emergency how would we get out?

Excellent

This was a reasonably priced hotel in the middle of everything. Centrally located within walking distance to shops and cafes. One of the few hotels in Paris that is air conditioned.

This hotel was in a nice location with easy access to the Metro. Our room had a big tub with a hand shower, but not a stand up shower, which was fine but not exactly what I expected. We only stayed one night so it was no big deal. Nice wood floors and modern decor.
