Biz Ctr hotel, good but not perfect for BCN trip
IF looking for a hotel for biz meetings in this area, a great choice.
BUT if booking it because it's called "Sheraton BCN Airport" look a little more closely.
Lovely hotel, great bedding, good bathroom, quiet, nice common rooms. We chose a rate that included the breakfast buffet and it was good. (Bad scrambled eggs, cold hard boiled eggs: everything else was fresh & tasty,)
However: we DID book it because we thought it would be convenient for a morning departure out of BCN.
Our experience: 25 Euros via Bolt from our downtown hotel to this hotel.
No shuttle service to BCN. 15 Euros via Uber from Sheraton to BCN,
Instead? Could have taken the rail system for 10 Euros for both of us from downtown to the airport, enjoyed more time in downtown Barcelona.
On arriving at the hotel, saw guests having drinks in the lobby bar but NO signage about meal service,
Desk clerks were very involved with each other when we checked in. Confused us with another guest's reservation, but finally found ours. Despte having stayed recently at Sheratons in Nice & Istanbul, and being Expedia Gold members, given a room by the elevator...
In the room: no toiletries!
Wanting dinner: per Google Maps that the only restos open Monday night witin 15 min walk were inside enormous malls. Coming down clerks were busy, so just told them we had no toiletries in the room & went to the malls for dinner.
On returning saw guests eating! Asked "Oh yes, we have a restaurant!" Bit of a disappointment all around
