Hotel Villa Maria Pia

Great views and patios to sit on and enjoy the Amalfi Coast. About a 5 minute walk to Marina di Praia - restaurants and the boats go there. Quiet and clean room. Staff was friendly and very helpful in setting up water taxi and excursions.

The property had direct access to the water, though there are MANY steps to reach it. Families with older folks, children, of those with difficultly walking may not find this property suitable. However, this is true with much of the Amalfi Coast...towns such as Minori or Maiori may be better options. While we didn't spend much time in the hotel room, the television literally never worked...the signal would go in and out, or it wouldn't turn on at all. Again, not the point of the vacation, but it would have been nice to be able to use it while we were in the room.

Beautiful tiled rooms and common areas. Shuttle to beach. Helpful in planning dinners and water taxis. Great staff always smiling. Would come back in a heart eat and tell all friends and family to use Villa Maria Pia. Only prolem for us was cats in and near breakfast buffet and restaurant. My wife is extremely allergic and fearful which caused us some awkwardness.

Hotel is very easy to access from the street (no steps to climb). The views are breathtaking! Everything you need is right here: private grotto to swim, restaurant/bar with beautiful views, patio to sun bathe, free shuttles to the best restaurants, and steps away from a beach. Staff is very friendly and rooms are immaculate.

Awesome time great location

This is a very nice family owned and run hotel. It’s situated mid way between Positano and Amalfi. High above the sea with steps down to a small area where you can access the sea. There are several very good restaurants nearby that offer a free car collection service. The bus stops outside the hotel for easy trips along the Amalfi Coast. Fantastic views.

It was amazing clean and very good renovations. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We loved this property! The view from our room and the public areas was just perfect! Before arriving at the Villa Maria Pia (September 2018), we had been touring around Italy for about a week and a half. We were more than ready for a little R&R and that's exactly what we enjoyed at the Villa Maria Pia. In fact, we didn't even leave the property the first day and a half except to take in the immediate vicinity. Then, when we were ready to venture out again, we took the SITA bus to Amalfi, then up to Ravello and back again...that was a harrowing experience, but we're glad we did it! Unfortunately, my husband left his backpack on the over-crowded bus on the way back to Villa Maria Pia and we never thought we'd see it again. But when we told Vincenzo what had happened, he kicked into action and contacted someone he knew that worked with SITA. Within 24 hours, they had the backpack and all its contents back at the hotel! Nothing short of miraculous I would say! We had already checked out and were on our way back to Rome when Katia let us know the back had been found. She was extremely efficient and very kind to make arrangements to send the backpack to our home in Canada. Now that is going above and beyond! We found the staff very eager to please and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for everything!

We loved the friendly atmosphere here! The owners and staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. They assisted us with our luggages, transports, and special requests. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts and wonderful evening dinners by the sea. We hope to return. Grazie! Loved the lemon gelatos!!

This was a wounderful hotel with everything you could want and more. The best place!!
