Hotel Gaivota Azores

The hotel is central located. Walking distance to restaurants, attraction. Price include breakfast buffet which is not bad. Unit is clean, large and some units come with a balcony and harbour view. Staff is friendly. The hotel does not have its own parking but there is a public parking just across the road. You can booked one of the parking card from the hotel at a discounted rate and park your car in the underground public parking. There is a convenience store located next to the hotel, so you can get your fruits, beer, wine from there. I will come back to this hotel again.

Location was spot on! Near many restaurants, stores, taxis..etc. Unfortunately you could only charge your phone, kindle, ipad etc..on the TV...which took hours to do!! However, most people have adopters... Was slightly disappointed with the coffee choices at breakfast as the coffee machine didn' t offer as many of the delicious types of Portugesse coffees the Azores have to offer, would have been nice with the first meal of the day. They do have a coffee machine on the first floor with more coffee flavors for a decent small price. The breakfast was "ok". I was there 10 days..scrambled eggs and bacon every day, however the sides changed every two or three days...fresh seasonal fruit , cheese..breads etc. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The actual room was very spacious and airy. Beds very comfortable...the shower was excellent!! The hotel front desk staff were very pleasant , friendly and helpful. I would definetly stay here again.

The staff were great, I got a parking ticket while looking for change. The guy at the desk paid it for me since it was in Portugese. Great guy! Of course I paid him back, but he knew what to do and it was very nice of him to help like that.

Great staff, great location, great breakfast

Great location in the heart of town, across from the ocean. Room was very good - bed was a bit hard, but acceptable. Service was impeccable, and everyone spoke english. Great experience overall!
