Hotel Santa Brigida

We were in a superior twin. The room was clean, the hotel an excellent location and we got a nice welcome. However, the room is not suitable if sharing with a friend. We had a twin room but the shower is in the room itself albeit towards the side. The shower door is see through so there is no privacy!!! You can see into the shower from sitting on one of the beds. The toilet door is frosted but not a proper door that closes so little privacy for using the loo too, and the sink is in the room itself. We asked if we could move to a room without a see-through shower or one that was not in the bedroom but we were told they were all like that. In addition, the inbuilt wall fan in the room was not working properly so it was far too hot, we asked for a small standalone fan for the room but were told they didnt have them. We made do for one night, but it was uncomfortable.

It was an amazing. Just a tad hard to find but once found it was amazing stay

Room in general was nicely designed with a modern look, it had a nice view over the main road but slightly double edged sword and it was pretty noisy with night life and cleaners (I imagine this may be problematic if visiting in the summer when it's more comfortable to have the windows open) The breakfast was certainly nothing to write home about, all the bready/baked goods were pretty dry and all the cut meats did not appear to be fresh from the same day, the coffee wasn't great either, honestly better off no including the breakfast and popping to a cafe on the main street, certainly wouldn't consider it 4*. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to get you a cab for your travels but the concierge system can be a bit awkward, having to ring to get into the building and then again to get into the hotel, you may find yourself waiting a couple of minutes to be let in. Would recommend some anti-mosquito gear if going as we got munched up pretty good. Hotel is located just on the edge of the Quartieri Spagnoli, which is listed as being slightly dodgy in many guides, but we didn't feel uncomfortable in our immediate area. It's not the most centralised hotel so we took cabs when we visited any location with the cost being around €8 (keep an eye on what the taxi price is actually displayed as because they appear to have a habit of rounding it up sometimes by a couple of euros)

The toilet was smelly even the bathroom door were closed, the toilet seat and seat cover were not installed properly and it suddenly fell down and hurt my back.

We used Hotel Santa Brigida for a three day stay in Naples. It is in a great location for shopping and easy access to the port and the metro. Lots of great places to eat close by.
