Maverick Apartments & Vintage Doubles

It was a great place to stay, location makes for an easy walk to everywhere. There were places to eat nearby, close enough to everything, the staff were also really friendly and helpful. The only downside was the cleanliness; dusty and the toilets were smelly.

I liked that this apartment was very good value for money, and if you had the max of 6 people in it it would be amazing value! I also liked the fact that it had a modern and clean bathroom, lots of instant hot water and a basic clean kitchen. It was warm to the point of being too hot and we couldn’t turn the radiator down so had to open the window! The reception staff were very helpful and polite On the other hand, The apartment is very basic to the point of being uninviting. This is the first time I have ever stayed anywhere where the bottom sheet had holes and the duvet covers and pillowcases were faded and worn. The bed was very uncomfortable, the tv had no English speaking channels so was useless and there was no full length mirror. The window of this particular apartment looked out onto the windows of an office building which wasn’t a problem but I thought I’d mention it as some reviews talk of the appartment looking into the Danube, obviously not the one we had. The apartment is in what was once a magnificent elegant building, and is still beautiful but in need of some tlc. It is very shabby for the most part now and the lift is not for the faint hearted as it looks as if it has seen many decades of use If you are looking for an apartment on a budget that is clean and serviceable and warm then this is for you but in the end you get what you pay for so don’t look for luxuries like a tv!

Right in city center, easy reach to metro, train, airport bus etc, the only difficulty is finding the hotel entrance gate especially arriving midnight from airport, may be a bigger sign will help. Overall, excellent value for money

Excellent value for money! Central location. Helpful staff. Free tea/coffee. Even a complementary bottle of bubbly when we arrived. Superb!!

The Maverick is a great option. It is located within walking distance of just about everything and is priced appropriately. Remember the apartments are part of the hostel and for the price you pay its worth it to fetch your own towels. The apartments are clean and comfortable and full of character. And the folks that work there are friendly and happy to assist with directions.

Amazing location next to the city and shops. This apartment has everything you need even down to tea, coffee, free WiFi, free printing etc. Staff were super friendly & honest. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Great place for the money, friendly staff, excellent location near the Christmas Market. We loved having a refrigerator, stove, microwave, pots, pans, etc. to save food costs. The only negative was uncomfortable mattresses. But overall, highly recommended.

Great location, grand building and served a purpose. However conditon of bath/shower not great and mould in the fridge.

The location is excellent. You can walk to most places. The bedding and the bathroom were very clean but the pots and pans curtains and bean bags were a bit grotty. Beds are really comfortable and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. The staff are very friendly and 24hour reception. The building itself is absolutly beautiful with so much character.
