Tokyu Stay Takanawa Sengakuji Ekimae

A great stay. My wife and I are visiting family in the country side and will return to your hotel for another night before leaving Japan.

New hotel in very convenient location

This is our 4th stay at this hotel. It is relatively new, so the hotel is clean and well maintained. It is very close to the Sengakuji station, making getting around Tokyo very easy. You can also catch the Sky Access train from Narita directly to Sengakuji station without any transfers. (There is an elevator that will get you up to street level, to avoid carrying your luggage up the last two flights of stairs.). Breakfast is good, although changes in the daily selection would be nice. The price is very reasonable especially when breakfast for two is included. Room size of 248 sq ft is adequate, for the superior room. Washer/dryer is nice to have. Besides the regular room amenities, the hotel has shower caps and umbrellas for your use, just ask. Note, they do not change your bed sheets daily or make your bed. They do provide fresh towels, night gowns and empty your trash daily. My only gripe was a policy to charge you 2000 yen per person per hour to check in early. I understand if the room is not ready, but an early check in fee seems odd, especially after a long flight. They will store your bags and take them up to your room when you do return to check in, and that’s a nice service. (Returning to Narita May be easier taking a taxi to the Shinagawa Prince and catching a limo bus.) I prefer the pace of this small hotel.

We have stayed here 3 times and we enjoyed the stays and will definitely stay here again.

The place was amazing for the price! There’s direct train to Narita and Haneda Airport. However, the surrounding was quite quiet and difficult to get food. The room was spacious, clean and cheap! Great option if you don’t mind the slight inconvenience.
