Napoliamo Guest House

Great little place and easy to get to off the M1. Mario was a great host. My only issue is I wish there were some more direction on navigating finding it. The door has no big signage just a tag on the directory and once you are in there’s no signage to get to it. But overall nice place.

This was my second time staying at Napoliamo Guesthouse. It was so great last year, I had to come back on a quick trip to Naples! The guesthouse is centrally located, with many shops, restaurants and a metro stop nearby. It is nice and clean, and is well cared for. I’ve stayed in the Eduardo room both times and it is incredibly spacious, which a nice little kitchenette area. I’ve felt so comfortable there each time, which says a lot because I dread hotels. I also love the bathroom, which it’s cheery yellow tile and french doors that open onto a view of a courtyard. I truly can’t recommend Napoliamo Guesthouse enough!

This Guest House was a real highlight of our time in Naples, Pompeii and Capri! Ida and Anna-Maria (and Mario) made us feel so welcome, like a home away from home. It was lovely to wake up to Breakfast served by Anna-Maria (something we missed greatly at our next guest house in Venice!). Even when we had problems like the A/C unit, Ida fixed it quickly. Ida speaks great English and gave us many tips for our stay and answered many questions that we had each day. The location is perfect too. 10-15 mins to the Port if you want to visit an Island (we went to Capri). 15-20 min walk to the Train Stations (to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum) and 10-15 mins walk to the main parts of the Historic Centre. But if you prefer, it is right next door to a Metro stop which can get you anywhere in Naples very quickly. We were a family of four (two teenagers) and the room was plenty big enough, with our own kitchenette (and fridge) and private bathroom. View from the balcony is great, especially at night. Daily housekeeping so we always came "home" to fresh towels and a clean room (thank you Anna!) The Guest House only has a few other rooms so it always felt homely, safe and quiet. Perfect for families. We were also able to leave our luggage after check-out on our final day, and Mario kindly organised a taxi at a fixed rate which was cheaper than four of us using public transport. Top top (shared by Ida) is the Gelato shop next door (don't miss the whipped cream on top!)

Check in was a breeze and the host was very helpful in giving tips about Naples, as well as arranging transportation for us the following morning. Excellent location to nearby sites.
