Stayed in Balzers for 1 night while travelling through eastern Switzerland and Lichtenstein in late July. This was during local holiday season, and a lot of facilities were closed for summer. The hotel bar and restaurant were both closed, and the reception closed at 9:30 pm. We arrived somewhat late, and struggled to find a place to eat in Balzers, which was quiet and sleepy.
Room was large and clean, good water pressure and clean tap water. Reservation said double bed, in fact we got two singles set together but with a significant gap between, though the mattress itself was comfortable. Apparently no elevator, had to carry heavy luggage up the stairs. No mosquito nets on windows, got several bites during the night. Smoke from neighbouring balcony drifted into the room. Quite a bit of noise from corridor and neighbours in the morning. Breakfast was CHF 16 per person.
The hotel itself is nice if somewhat old-fashioned, and probably the best (possibly the only) option in Balzers. We had a fair enough stay, but it did not seem like good value for money, and we probably would have chosen a different itinerary if we were to plan the trip again.
