W New Orleans - French Quarter

Check in is 3pm and we arrived a few minutes before 3pm. Our room was not ready- no problem. We walked around the French Quarter for a bit, at 4pm, our room still was not ready. We sat at the hotel bar and had a few drinks, at 4:30, our room still was not ready. It was not until my husband asked that the staff offered us some drink tickets. Finally at 5pm our room was ready. This was a major disappointment as we had dinner reservations at 6pm and didn’t have time to get ready. The check in really soured our view of the hotel. The room was nice and big, bathroom is tiny, and we had a balcony overlooking Chartres St, but I would not stay here again.

Literally the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have seen bad.

Location very very very good. Lite but responsive staff Bar/food was amazing. Room great but one small window (to be expected in FQ No “riff raff” staying at hotel.

Do not book the studio suite without the courtyard view. The courtyard view is the only studio suite with the jacuzzi shown in the pictures, the marriot website and the hotels website both show the basic studfio suite with the hot tub but that is false advertising and incorrect. Neither studio suites designate on the features that they contain a hot tub or not but they show it in the room pictures. When confronted they did understand my concern and tried moving me but for any future inconveniences I would recommend calling the hotel to double check or just go somewhere else.

This was my first time at a W, it was great! I had walked by before but this was my first time staying there. Location, Location, Location! The room was very unique and we had a spectacular view from our balcony.
