Nice location, but with potential...
My first impression upon entering my room 405 was it felt dirty, and it was in desperate need of a deep cleaning. The flushing of the toilet didn't work properly and after giving notice twice I ended up fixing it myself. After the first night I put out the "want service" on the doorknob and to my surprise nothing was done when I came back late night. I had to go down to the reception for clean towels and shampoo. For the rest of the stay this was taken care of. By chance I found out that Marriot has purchased the hotel, and that explains the ongoing renovations and the noise from the work from early morning. The pool area is also dirty, but I reckon that has something to do with the ongoing renovations. Every night I had to get my keycard reactivated because there was an issue with the system. Hopefully the experience will be better after the entire makeover is finished and it is rebranded into Courtyard by Marriott.
