All in all, it was a good choice quality and pricewise. The hotel looked well-kept, the room was large enough, clean and with decent furnishings and air condition. However, the double bed was not a queen size but two beds set together. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with modern amenities, no bathtub though, only a shower. There was no complimentary tea/coffee in the room. The free wi-fi functioned well.
The staff was all in all friendly and helpful. The receptionists spoke English well and were professional. The breakfast was quite boring, not unlike most hotels in Italy, with just some basic standard choices. Late risers were not accommodated with sufficient refills, so that one had to enjoy whatever food was left.
The location was perfect. It took just some 5 minutes to the old town by foot, and there were nice restaurants and cafés in the immediate vicinity. At the same time, it took just some 15 minutes by foot to the central station where one can take train to the airport. However, the hotel was not so easy to get to when driving. Parking in the garage was free and convenient.
