We were lucky getting a room on the first floor with a terrace, this might be what made this hotel such a pleasant surprise, or maybe it was all the bad reviews i read up front.
I agree with some of them; the bathroom is so small it's hard to turn around if your a bit above average sized. It reminds me of a bathroom on a mid sized yacht, but the bathroom was pretty new non the less. The hotel it self is in need of a refresh, it is very 70's style, but i kind of liked it. It almost made me feel like a Bond character from the Sean Connery era.
They also offer an ok breakfast, a slow speed internet (at extra cost in the room), a free saltwater pool with sun beds. But if you want stay at the connected beach, well then it will cost you extra since the beach are not operated by the hotel - even though they share the name.
The sporting area of the hotel is ok, but a shame that the tennis court doesn't open before 10am.
I guess it's all down to what price you are able to get, whether you are happy or not with your stay - and of course; if you expect a luxurious 4-star hotel at the beach or a 4-star with a 70-ish charm.
