Rooms spread around the area in different buildings. Some rooms are evidently also in basements, with accompanying humidity and basement smell. We were given a new room without any questions. Apart from a very "interesting" and cramped room layout there is nothing to complain about. The area is quite the Muslim neighborhood, so be prepared to walk a few blocks to find beer. Also be warned that the nearest places are total tourist traps, so if you don't enjoy "musicians" on your table, and the next table, and the one next to that, playing in total disharmony, you should probably find another area. If you want diversity in restaurant choices, you should probably not go to Istanbul at all. For a less touristy feel, the Taksim area can be recommended. All in all, an OK place to stay. Nice and helpful staff, but glad we didn't stay for more than one night.
