I booked this room on Expedia and thought the Tower would be romantic on my 50th wedding anniversary. Nowhere did it say that this room was difficult to access on a steep and narrow staircase. When my daughter called the hotel to book a transfer to/from the airport (which, by the way, was significantly more expensive than all the options we found on the internet), she was told there were "some stairs". That was a massive understatement. The result was that my husband and I, two elderly retired people, really struggled to enter/exit the room. The next day we were given a new room. But the hotel gave us the most modest room in the house, which was disappointing for such an enormous event in our lives, of which the hotel was perfectly aware. Not only that, but we were not informed about the price for this room. It looked like a standard room to us, but we were charged high season prices for a superior room without being informed of this. I have since complained in writing, but rather than try to compensate an elderly couple who picked this hotel for their 50th anniversary celebration and were bitterly disappointed, the hotel brushed us off completely. This is no way to treat people! I am so upset by this experience that I will also write to the Swiss Board of Tourism.
