We stayed here for 8 nights, and were at first very happy with the location. Compared to where we stayed in Ermita the week before, this location feels very safe and much more "modern".
The hotel itself is good, staff is nice although you don't really feel like they "see you" when you enter the hotel. More often than not they were staring at computer screens, even when there were nothing else going on in the lobby.
We got a room in the 6th floor, overlooing Meralco avenue, which made it very difficult to sleep because of the traffic noise the whole night. Not to mention the very loud banging of doors from the hallway all the time. The staff was very helpful though, and let us change room the next day to the 25th floor facing a different direction. Much better, and very fast service from the man in the reception, whose name escapes me. Nice jacuzzi, but the pool itself could be warmer in the evenings.
Our biggest gripe about this hotel is that housekeeping often forgot to resupply things like soap (we eventually bought our own), towelettes, water bottles etc. And the new linen and towels we got were often stained. We had to call and get new ones several times (one time it looked like someone had stepped on a pillow case with a dirty shoe). They quickly helped when we called and asked for it, but it shouldn't be necessary to ask for clean linen and soap after houskeeping has been there.
Maybe we were unlucky, but these things should be easily fixable.
