Sentralt, meget bra hotell i gamlebyen
We were two couples from Norway who first spent 3 nights at MonRiad and after a 5-7 roundtrip in mountains/desert and Essaouira, returned to MonRiad for another couple of days. All the staff - Manuela, her sister, Sara, Eduardo and the others in the staff - were very friendly, always with a smile, provided excellent service and made us feel almost like part of a big family.
Abundant breakfast included - yoghurt, various marmelades, baguette, pancakes, other cakes, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. And sometimes omelettes as well!
We used the roof terrace several times - from which we could see the snow-covered mountains.
The rooms were large enough for two, nice beds and bathrooms. Very clean.
MonRiad will also offer beer and wine in addition to other beverages.
The location of MonRiad is probably the best of it all. In a very quiet alley, but nevertheless very central to Djemaa el Fnaa square, the souks and many local shops.
We recommend that you use the offered transfer service from airport if you arrive by plane. It might be difficult to find the riad from the main square, but there are always people who will help you - for some dirhams as tip.
Taxi from main square to airport is 70-80 dirhams.
