This hotel is not very central to any towns or shopping possibilities. It is a good place to stay if you travel by car, or rent a bike from the hotel. It is a 30 minute bike ride away from Bilthoven and 10 minutes from Hilvershum.
The room was large, but a bit worn down. The bathroom was excellent. The TV signal was weak, and rendered snowy pictures, something that was not fixed during my 7 nights at the hotel. Internet was stable and had really good speed. The bed was good for a hotel bed.
The most impressive with the hotel was the friendliness and service attitude of the staff. The least impressive was the restaurant. The salmon was overcooked and dry, the sirloin steak burger tasted like something out of a frozen burger package. The filet was not very tender, and despite being served "medium" seemed very dry.
On the plus side I found the salmon tartar (served until 17) and the tournedos to be good and also the best items on the menu. All portions were really big size though, and the French fries were crispy and good with an abundance of salad and vegetables served on the side. The house wine was also good.
Will I stay there again? Most likely, as it is close to where I do business when in the area. And I hope that the restaurant by then will have improved.
