6/10 – Bra

Decent, but overpriced
We wanted a couple of days in Cape Cod, and chose Falmouth and this hotel mainly because Falmouth is only a 35 minute ferry ride away from famous Martha's Vineyard. Falmouth is a small and, quite frankly, not too exciting place. However, the local people are really nice. AS were the hotel staff, who were more than happy to give us recommendations as to where to go running, catch the ferry etc.The hotel in itself has a lot of wear and tear and it seems like not much has been done with the premises the last decades, and it is beyond my belief that they are in a position to charge 250 USD per night. But, this is Cape Cod and people are willing to pay top dollar to go here, hence the somewhat ridicilous prices.
All in all nothing bad to say about the hotel. They were friendly and down earth, there was a gym and a swimming pool, the breakfast buffet was alright. It's just that this is, standard wise, low key, whereas they charge you as if they were a four start resort. But, we looked at pricing for a lot of different spots in Cape Cod, and they all mainly looked expensive.
There is a 25 minute walk down to the Island Queen, which takes you to aforementioned Martha's Vineyard, a famous vacation spot and also where they filmed "Jaws". Recommended!
