"Be cautious when booking. Let me start by saying the staff was great from beginning to end - friendly, attentive, helpful. Really…great staff. Keep in mind this is an older property, so if you’re expecting pristine and new, this isn’t it. However, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the cleaning staff was on top of things! Again, great staff! Here’s where the caution comes in. They have a pretty cool swimming pool - multi-level, with a water fall, hot tub grotto…it’s pretty unique. However, the system couldn’t keep up with the number of bathers. The water was pretty nasty, with visible clumps of hair/gunk and pieces of food floating in it, too cloudy to see the bottom, and pH out of whack making your skin itch. Not any fault of the staff - just a result of a ton of bathers. The bigger problem was some of the other patrons. Until 1:00 am there were kids running up and down the balcony walkways, yelling while playing football in the parking lot, adults with car doors propped open playing music, adults yelling in rooms (with profanity) about fighting and drug use…and lots of marijuana use in the parking lot. On the last night of our stay, the joining room next to ours was smoking so much pot in their room that it was coming under the door and filling ours…with our kids inside. We notified the office, who did send security to ask them to stop, but that resulted in them yelling at us through the wall and partying harder until roughly 2:00 am. More affordable isn’t always best."
