We are a business in Albuquerque, NM and we sent a crew down to Silver City for a large project. The overall condition of the property was deplorable. How this can even be called a Motel 6 is beyond comprehension, as it is well beneath brand standard for the franchise. The property is dirty and disheveled. Homeless people had overrun a few of the rooms, with or without management's knowledge and were living there in very poor conditions. Most concerning, the property is infested with German Roaches; amongst the hardest to get rid of, and prone to spreading diseases like dysentery, salmonella, and e. coli.
In the morning, the crew was so disgusted they decided to check out early. Although the crew left well before 11 (they were at their work site at 7am), the motel did not process their cancellation until after 11am, thereby charging us for Sunday night even though no one was there!! They only refunded us for Monday night. Given the embarrassing conditions, we should have been refunded the entire stay in full. We have photos and time stamped texts to prove this entire experience. For the public's own health and safety, this place should be condemned and Hotels.com should not promote this property any further.
