All in all, it was a good choice quality and pricewise. The hotel looked new and well-kept, with the stylistically consistent design concept throughout the whole building. The pool on the roof was small and shallow, with just a few sunbeds, but it was a good place for relaxation with a nice view for those few lucky who secured themselves a place. The room was spacious and clean, with stylish modern furnishings, a fridge and air conditioning. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well, with all the modern amenities and fine toiletries but no bathtub. There was no complimentary tea/coffee in the room. The free wi-fi functioned well.
The staff spoke English well but did not appear professional at all times. At the check-in, a receptionist insisted that the booking was for a basic room, although the booking confirmation print-out clearly stated a room with a balcony. When she eventually provided a room with a balcony, it was with annoyance and a lame explanation rather than with an apology. Other receptionists were overall friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, with fresh produce and sufficient variety. They also served coffee from the coffee bar by order. The buffet was refilled till the closing hour, so that there was enough food available for late risers. The hotel restaurant provided a delicious dinner, a fine ambiance and a very good service.
The location was convenient, between the centre and the railway station, with a 10 minutes’ walking distance either way.
