I’ll start with the good|…having a pool on site. That’s it. I had an absolutely terrible experience. Upon check in with my husband and 2 children, the hallways were hot, humid, and wreaked of old cigarettes and moldy carpet. The elevators felt like a death trap, and hallways are not well lit at all. The room also smelled weird, no remote for the tv, beds are like sleeping on concrete, toilets are almost coming unbolted from the floor, extremely slow drainage from sink and shower, among a million other little issues. If we hadn’t just driven 3 1/2 hours from Maryland to visit family, and could afford to book somewhere else while waiting for a refund, i would have ran outta there. But all of the above is not the worst part. While at the pool with my kids, there was a small child by himself in the exercise room. He came out to the pool area wanting to play with my kids and go swimming but he had long pants on so i told him he should probably go ask his mom or dad for some swim trunks so his pants didn’t get wet. He then told me he was here with his dad but he couldn’t find him and when he went to their room and knocked no one answered. My husband told him he’d walk him back to knock again. For over an hour we repeatedly attempted to knock on door with no answer, so i decided to notify the front desk of the situation where i was meant with a dismissive and careless attitude. I was told to hold on cause they were checking in guests. Now i understand they are running a v
