Staff is very attentive, friendly, and courteous. There is a great variety of food choices (didn't pay attention if there are vegan options). I wouldn't say any particular thing is excellent but they are all good. I stick to buffet bc many of the theme restaurant items are there anyway. There's a jerk chicken stand by the beach; uber convenient. Things from home I miss: Mediterranean, sushi, cold brew coffee, iced tea, diet Pepsi. There are like 6 pools, very clean, 2 with swim up bars. There are buffets, bars, and pools on both ends of the resort so you don't have to walk all the across the resort except for the beach. I don't drink but there are liquor dispensers in the rooms and they keep your fridge stocked with local beer. The resort was attractive, clean, and in good repair. This end of the beach gets rough with a mild rip. Unfortunately no rideable waves; just 3 foot closeouts. Beach is clean, not rocky/shelly. They keep the sea grass (everywhere on the north side of Hispaniola) in check. Scuba Caribe is the on-site water sports operator. Decent packages, professional staff, can do advanced Open water cert. They don't do parasailing tho; you have to go about 3 resorts down the beach for that. Avoid spring break unless you like obnoxious kids. I personally avoid Friday/Saturday nights. Entertainment is a mixed bag; I liked the EDM show one night. Not a.lot of store variety. Would like a jetted tub. Overall awesome DR stay!
