All in all, it was a good choice quality and pricewise. The hotel looked well-kept, the room, though quite small and a bit shabby, was clean and with decent furnishings and air condition. The plastic chair at the desk marred the overall impression though. The queen size bed was nice but creaky. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with modern amenities, no bathtub though, only a shower. There was complimentary tea/coffee in the room. The free wi-fi functioned well.
The staff was all in all friendly and helpful. The receptionists spoke English well and were very professional. They had a printer for guests, so that one could print out flight tickets. There was a hospitality bar in the lobby with free coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was good, unlike many hotels in Italy, with more than just basic standard choices. There was sufficient food for late risers as well, which made a significant positive difference from many other hotels.
The location was good. It took just some 5 minutes to the beach and some 15 minutes to the old town by foot. At the same time, it took just a couple of minutes by foot to the central station where one could take bus to the airport. However, one could be disturbed by the church bells in the early hours as the church was situated a stone’s throw from the hotel.
