The hotel is nice and it's also well and centrally located in Miraflores. The breakfast is great, coctails are good and the athmosphere quite nice too. I have one big complaint though: the "taxi" they ordered for me. I travel to Peru several times a year and usually a taxi between the airport and wherever in Miraflores costs 50 soles with a good company and in a nice car, like Taxi Green (to be found easily in the airport) or Taxi Satelital. Of course you can travel cheaper, with less comfort. In Antigua they sort of warn you that their taxi service is expensive by keeping the price visible at the front desk, but the car that showed up was in a quite bad shape, had no room for my suitcase in the trunk (we were two people travelling together with one normal suitcase each)so the driver kept it in the seat next to him, he offered to give us receipts for other trips that we hadn't received receipts from without us asking (or wanting) it, and just before entering the airport area he told us to tell the police that we were his friends in case they would ask, obviously since he didn't have a proper permission or licence to drive people to the airport. This he charged us ridiculously expensive 85 soles for, that is 25-35 more than a good and real company charges. I really don't get how they are able to charge this much for such a lousy taxi service, or why they would risk their image like that when it's so easy to call a real taxi.
