Chose this hotel because of good reviews on various hotel booking sites, free WiFi and its close proximity to Mall of the Emirates. Stay started bad, my group had three rooms, one of which smelled like sewage. Complained about this the next day and was moved to a different room which smelled like cigarettes, air conditioner removed the cigarette smell completely. After we got the new room our stay was pretty good, staff was friendly and helpful. Tried breakfast at the hotel one day, it was not at all worth the 85 AED pr. person. Rooms were cleaned every day, but I believe the bed was only changed once during our stay (one week).
Internet is certainly convenient to have, and this hotel offers WiFi for free. Using menus on the TV you can get username and password, this will last for 1 or 24 hours (depending on what you choose). Credentials are good for one device at a time, it is possible to change devices but this is cumbersome.
All in all a nice experience and I recommend this hotel. Will probably not go back, because Mall of the Emirates gets too crowded and there is nowhere to sit. Dubai Mall is a much better experience, plenty of places to sit and lots of stuff to see. For shopping you are probably best off skipping the two giants all together, and go to Festival City (Festival Waterfront Center). It offers places to sit and prices generally being lower than Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates, I will definitely be looking for a hotel in close to Festival City next time.
