The Kana in Kuta: A Comfortable Stay with a Few Quirks
We recently spent 10 days at The Kana in Kuta with another family, staying in a family duplex. Here’s a summary of our experience.
Highlights and Observations
- Room and Amenities: The family duplex is quite small but spread over two stories. It includes a very small bathroom, but the beds are nice and it has all the necessary amenities. The view was not ideal, as it overlooked some run-down buildings with just a glimpse of the pool area. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay and found the room to be good value for the price.
- Breakfast: The breakfast was simple and not very international. There were good pancakes and an egg station, along with a small selection of bread and pastries. However, there were no toppings except for butter and a jello-like jam, so it wasn't top-notch.
- Dining: The restaurant was good enough for lunch and dinner, providing a convenient option for meals at the hotel.
- Service: The staff were very nice and welcoming. The front desk was particularly service-minded and helpful, making our stay more pleasant.
- Pool Area: We loved the pool area, which we had to ourselves almost all the time. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the sun.
- Gym: The gym was a very small room, and unfortunately, the treadmill was out of order during our stay.
Overall, we were quite happy with The Kana. While it wouldn’t qualify as a four-star hotel in Europe, it offered good value for money and a comfortable
