Location and just location
We booked the hotel because of its location and view from the room (that i saw in the pics) but on check in we got a room on the farthest corner of the hotel, with a small window and view towards a wall in the hotel. To pay so much per night and get a 'closed' room was ridiculous. I have problem with closed places and the room ruined my stay. I asked the receptionist but she said no other room is available.
When we came back to stay for 1 night after Inca trail, we got room not towards the square but towards the road and there was traffic and horns the whole night till 4 am since it was weekend. In that room, water got leaked from shower cabinet and stood in the whole bathroom the whole time till we checked out the next day.
Hotel looks nice but it needs renovation especially bathroom. There was a huge spider in our bathroom that just disappeared and later got into my black sweater and when i was standing in the streets while doing a walking tour, that spider came out of my sweater and was on my head. That was the most horrible experience of my life.
On the other hand, Bed was comfortable, room was of decent size. Refrigerator and safe available in the room. Breakfast was nice and tasty. Location is good. Walking distance to everything.
Restaurant had nice view of square, was very cheap, amazing food and extremely big portions.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
