First the positives:
Room was clean and the bed comfortable. A to-go breakfast and coffee was included in our stay. Parking was close and restaurants and shopping were very walkable. There are 2 hot tubs in a beautiful outdoor shaded area, overlooking either the river or the mountain. The relaxing outdoor space also included patio type tables and chairs.
Now the negatives:
We booked a King Deluxe, confirmed on Expedia several months ahead. We were told on arrival that no King rooms were available and that Expedia had incorrectly assigned us that room. We were given a Queen Studio (substantially smaller room and bed with no sitting areas) for only $20 less. All other hotels were booked and we were forced to take the room given. Another guest checking in at the same time had the exact issue (booked a K, given a Q), reservation booked on Hotels.com. We were never issued a receipt (either digital or hardcopy), after repeated inquiries. I finally asked the desk rep to screen shot the receipt and email me (which he hesitantly did), since I did not want to pay for the reserved room I did not get.
This property is nice enough for the area, but there are only a small number of each type of room, and the scheduling system obviously does not work. You are taking a chance when reserving that you will actually get the room you reserve.
The beautiful serenity of the outdoor areas balanced out not getting the room we were expecting and the basic billing deficiencies.
