This hotel is still under construction, however it’s fully livable. However there’s still many things missing. The door between the bathroom and the main room was impossible to close. The bedsheets were dirty, and we found stuff behind the nightstand that didn’t belong to us: the cleanliness was awful. There was also ants inside the room an on the balcony. The housekeepers did not look at the balcony at all, and the balconydoor was really noisy: we probably woke up all of our neighbours every time we went outside. The staff is great! Especially mr. Ben and ms. Nih. Some of the bar didn’t speak a word English, which was an issue, but then again the entire island has generally bad English. Mr. Ben is a huge resource for the hotel, and without him the hotel would loose a star. He knows pretty much everything about the island, and he helps you book all the trips you want to go to or helps you with issues of the hotel: from renting a taxi for one day, safari park, cable cars and getting a delayed checkout etc. He has many great tips and was able to answer every question we had.
There’s also a lot of trash and garbage around the hotel. It looked and smelled awful, and the hotel should definitely do something about it. Cleaning it up shouldn’t be difficult, but it seems like the hotels close by don’t want to take the blame, so it’s filthy everywhere. And a new hotel is under construction right next to the palmy.
