We moved to Windsor California Copacabana after three days at Arena Ipanema, due to the prices there didn’t meet the quality of the hotel. At Windsor this was a lot better, since it was less pricey and at the same time had a lot better standard.
The room was spacious and comfortable, but quite noisy towards the neighboring rooms and corridor, which meant you could hear whatever was happening, voices, phone ringing and doors being shut. Also, the safe didn’t work, and I tried saying both these issues in the reception the first day, but they either didn’t believe me, ignored it or forgot about it, because I had to remind them 2-3 more times before anything happened.
After 4 days someone came to “show me” how the safe worked, proving they didn’t believe me that it was broken, but then realized that I was right that it was broken so they had to switch the door to a new one. The loud noices from the hallway and neighbors was also documented on the fifth day, and shown in the reception and then they moved us to another room right away since they were very loud and disturbing.
Sadly we only had one more night at the new room, which was a lot less noisy, and had some things we were missing on our first room like, robes, slippers, coffee machine ++, which are items I would expect to be standard in any room at a hotel like this.
All in all a nice stay, but bad sound insulation, lacking general necessities in the room, not working steam bath and not great customer service.
