This hotel is an absolute dream!
The hotel building itself is entirely original and the setting is simply fairy-tale-like. Nature has been particularly bountiful in that corner of Ubud, and the beauty is so great that it becomes spiritual. The staff are immaculate - everyone remembers your name and your preferences - and the spa has a very high level of service and skills. The full body 90 minute Balinese massage is definitely recommended. Ubud itself is surprisingly spiritual and adventurous, once you get off the main road. Countless hidden temples dot the place like jewels on a necklace. I also recommend the lychee martinis in the hotel bar. My room was also surprisingly spacious and very well furnished. Most of the furnishings can be bought, surprisingly enough, and that is a good mental note for when I get a bigger apartment.
