A decent hotel - at a steep price
DO NOT BOTHER with paying for breakfast at this hotel. I booked a room and paid extra to have breakfast included.
When we arrived and went to our first breakfast, we found out that this is NOT a normal hotel style breakfast. It's not a buffet, but rather a la carte. Not only that, but your "daily credit" is only 18 dollars. Almost everything on the menu is over 18 dollars. In addition you have to tip the staff.
We were never notified of this when we made our booking, and not when we checked in either. This left a sour taste in my mouth. Had I known, I would never have paid extra to have breakfast included. I complained to the front desk staff about this, but they shrugged and told me there was nothing they could do, and referred me to hotels.com.
Apart from that, the rooms are spacious, the beds are nice, the wifi is fast, and the hotel is conveniently located. The only other thing I didnt like was the tub/shower. The showerhead is mounted very low on the wall and can't be moved, which meant I had to bend down when showering.
Also, the price was quite frankly ridiculous. We paid almost 28000 NOK (approx $2600) for five nights.
