We were there in September and were well pleased. Although the hotel needs a proper refurbishment. But now there were new owners, not Hilton anymore and everything was changed except that it still needs refurbishment. Thay have totally lost it.
Last time they replied my e-mails, this time I sent two mails before we left, but I had to call to get an answer. I was told that I had sent to the wrong address (which I found on their website).
There were long queues at check-in, some people had to wait half an hour. But there were people in the office behind the reception who didn't mind anything.
My wife checked us in, I arrived a little later. She had to pay even though this was paid in advance (she didn't know it). We got a refund when I arrived, but the lady at the front desk couldn't see on the computer that we had paid in advance so i had to show here the receipt in my Hotels.com app.
Last time the a la carte dinner was very good. Now it was buffet, the first evening we arrived late and they were waiting for us, and so had the food, the food was dry and they ran out of several dishes. Was a little better the other nights when we came earlier.
There was only hot water in the taps in the room. Had to spend an hour and be in contact with 4 people to get a new room. Did not get an upgraded room, in the new it was not possible to regulate the heat and much was loose in the bathroom, but I gave up.
My advise, Avimore is a great place, but find another hotel!
