Beautiful location over El Toro beach in Port Adriano. Few guests this late in season. Infinity pool, bar, restaurant and SPA. Some problems though! Had our worst dinner so far in Mallorca here. Monkfish and chicken thigh, how can you possibly make both almost uneatable in a 5 star resort? Way overpriced badly prepared food, huge disappointment. A small Spanish brandy cost €14, the bottle in shop across the road is €24. We expect to spend on holiday, but the food must be good at premium prices and the liquor should not be a complete rip off. We didn’t spend more money there apart from room service on last night and our chicken sandwich was of decent quality. We had breakfast included and were happy with its spread. There are a few restaurants in the harbour below, 5 mins walk down the hill. Better spend your money there for higher food quality at night. Otherwise the area is quite dull and not much to do. Puerto Portals have better restaurants and shopping. The SPA at the hotel was nice, €90 for a massage, although we did get 30% off as Gold Members at Hotels.com Which is also why we were upgraded to a Junior Suite room. It was a large one bedroom, with extra sleeper sofa, with balcony and seaview, bathtub with glass walls and separate shower and toilette. The hairdryer weighed half a ton and blew inefficiently, but otherwise the room was comfy and the bed was too our liking with nice linen. The hotel should revisit its restaurant and bar strategy as they were a turnoff.
