Arriving the reception looks old, but fairly nice. Recommend to ask for a room higher than ground fl. Entering the hallway of the room there was an awful strong smell of mold. Incredible strong. There was a fan blowing. There was carpet floor. The first room we got looked ok, and the smell was weak inside with the air condition running. A bit dusty, with dust in the ceiling over the air condition. Unfortunately we had a bunch of ants running on the tv furniture. At first I thought it was only one, but moving the tv revealed a “flock” of ants. We called the reception, and they told us that they could offer us another room. Arriving in the reception they did not look at us, they just handed us the new room. They did not treat us with any kindness or respect. The next room smelled really bad of “old shoes”. We called the reception again, and they told us that we had to choose between smell or ants. They did not apologize and was clearly annoyed with our concern. We contacted hotels.com, and they also called the hotel asking the refund. The hotel refused the refund, despite hotels.com telling it was bad service and that it was one time courtesy. Prior to this we stayed at motels in Canyon and Kingman, and this is the worst one and do not match the description or photos, with this intense smell of mold. In the bathroom of the second room, the wall is falling off. The bedsheets had stains. One of the beds even had “foot print” next to the pillow. We slept on one bed.
