The most PERFECT location for a hotel I've witnessed. Beautiful, very large square outside with the magnificent Santa Maria Novella church across the square. Eateries and shops line the courtyard, making it wonderful to peruse at leisure. Walking distance from the train station, but not too close to be noisy or worrisome.
From the hotel you can walk to anything in the town, but it's far away enough from the hub of it to avoid the crowds and noise.
Very excellent, clean hotel, wonderfully decorated waiting rooms downstairs to relax in and enjoy the decor. Rooftop access with a view of courtyard, town and church. The rooms are clean and adorable! The shower is large enough and clean all in white and black marble.
The breakfast which was included, was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Lots of choices, fine cutlery offered as well as white china with champagne served, along with custom coffee/lattes and cappuccinos made to order by staff and served in a gorgeous breakfast room. We felt like royalty! :-)
The staff was attentive and friendly. Nothing really negative to add, but that the mattresses are on the firm side, like all of Italy it seems, but regardless, our only main regret is that we didn't stay longer!
