Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Any hotel of class has a doorman, preferably uniformed, who will both open the door, guide you and get a cab. This one does, I'll get back on that one.
The first thing that meets you is a rude person in a filthy t-shirt who asks for passaporte and credit card. Then one notices the smell. The stale smell of a ventilation system that doesn't work and hasn't been used for months, maybe years. I smell mould, exhaust from the very busy street outside. The room used to be 4 stars. Not any more. The clientele are low class. The hamburger I ordered had rock hard bread and the salad leaf in the burger had long passed the expiry date. I really did not like that hotel, the only two reasons I stayed was that there were very few hotel rooms in Madrid that week and it was prepaid and non refundable.
I thought the hotel had 4 stars, but it turned out to be 4 suns. Which actually turned out to be 4 garbage cans fronted by our doorman from the beginning of my review. Or door woman to be correct- a Rumanian beggar in rags with a big sign that throws insults after you if you don't give any money or too little.
Don't go there. Run Forrest, Run!
