It’s turning around
The room was great! New bed, comfy sheets huge bathroom!
The room was on huge discount compared to the neighbor hotels, so I read the reviews.
It seems like the previous management let it go. But new management is “trying” to turn it around. Upgrades and paint and new details. But it takes time and I understand that.
When I got there, the lobby was full of people checking out, at 9pm.. luggage all over and everyone watching TV like I walked in to someone living room unannounced.
They checked out but didn’t actually leave the hotel. They were all still there at midnight when I went to bed.
The key cards I got didn’t work the first 4 times. I stay at a lot of hotels so I have learned to go to the room first to make sure the keys work before you fill your arms with luggage. Thank goodness I did, it was a long 4 walks to try the cards. The desk guy only had a pile of used old cards he just kept trying them till one worked. Staff really was trying their best and friendly.
Other than the lobby and keys it was a great stay, clean quiet and comfy. Even the lobby and keys are not a deal breaker for me with a 50.00 room.
