Excellent staff, but hotel not for single people
I have been on short trips to Dubai and Abu Dhabi more than 60 times, but for the first time I decided to try the East Coast. My stay at this hotel was alone for three nights just after Eid in July/August. This is not exactly the high season for visitors from Europe. Most guests were Russian speaking with some Arabs and a few Westerners. The guests were young couples and families.
The resort is situated on a narrow strip between the highway and the beach on the northern part of the East Coast. The hotel has at least three large pools plus one small for kids plus a long beach along the hotel. The beach was partly sand and partly gravel. The building is long with probably two proper restaurants, a bar and pool restaurants and a discotheque. There is also a spa with separate men and women departments staffed by Indians (as far I could see), but the spa is not very big. They offer high quality massage, but for instance not Thai massage.
All the staff were very nice, welcoming and helpful!!!
The reason why I grade the hotel as average is that this hotel is not the right one for single people. I hired a car with driver for two full days who drive me to respectively Fujairah and Ras al-Khaimah. Actually there is a need for a car for going everywhere from the hotel.
