I recently stayed at Alden Hotel, and I must say it was far from the luxury 5-star experience they advertised. This place is actually part of an apartment building in a residential area, and there’s nothing luxurious about it. Our room felt like someone bought a random apartment, furnished it with outdated, mismatched pieces from a flea market, and labeled it as "luxurious." The furniture wasn’t even "vintage" – just old.
To make matters worse, the rooms are not soundproof as advertised. We could hear the guests above us, including their kids running and yelling, well into the night—until 3 AM! It made for a very unpleasant and sleepless stay.
Overall, I feel misled by the description of this hotel. It does not live up to its claims of luxury, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a true 5-star experience.
