This hotel is a find - a great location looking down a gorge, and near, and overlooking the old town. A family run hotel (a father and his sons), where they are doing their best to be helpful in every way. The rooms were clean and renovated, each with a balcony.
The town was a surprise, a sweat small medieval quality to it. The river was beautiful, we rented a boat for the day and it was like going into another world as we went up river. Zip lines were a kick, and hiking and running - fantastic. The main beach was also great, though very busy.
Recommendations? I would get a designer in to update the colours - green and red is not good. Make the outdoor lighting on the terrace warm and inviting. I would make the hotel unique - a step above by creating a better kitchen/dining experience - go ecological, home/made - drop serving the exact same things as the others - take a look at the Danish Gullsmeden hotels for inspiration.
